The Bekeš family

We are Marianna and Štefan Bekeš, and we live right here in Ždiar with our three children. Wellness Resort Kamzík*** is more than our work – it is part of our family's story and the place we call home.

It started with one guesthouse

Kamzík's story began in 1997, when our parents, Alžbeta and Štefan, opened one of the first guesthouses in Ždiar. From the very beginning, they wanted to create a place with a family atmosphere, warm hospitality and a personal welcome that would keep guests coming back.

That idea still guides us today. We took over the guesthouse, gradually improved it and added more places to stay and unwind. One thing has stayed the same: Kamzík is still a family place, cared for personally and with heart.

How Kamzík grew

One guesthouse gradually grew into a resort with three buildings, a restaurant and a spa – all in one place and still run by the same family.

    Kamzík Guesthouse***

    Alžbeta and Štefan Bekeš open Kamzík Guesthouse, one of the first guesthouses in Ždiar. A family story begins that continues to this day.

    Villa Kamzík*** and Kamzík Apartments***

    The grounds expanded with Villa Kamzík, offering five rooms and a shared lounge with a fireplace. Later came two spacious Kamzík Apartments for two to six guests, each with a practical kitchenette.

    2019

    New rooms and bathrooms

    The guesthouse rooms and bathrooms were fully refurbished to give our guests even greater comfort.

    A restaurant with Goral character

    The restaurant gained a new interior combining wood, traditional carving, painted glass and photographs from our family albums.

  5. Whirlpool pool in the Resort Kamzík spa

    The spa opens

    After several years of preparation, we opened our spa with a whirlpool pool, Finnish sauna, steam room and cold plunge pool – a place created for rest and recovery.

    Three buildings. One resort.

    Today, Kamzík Guesthouse, Villa Kamzík and Kamzík Apartments share one site. Each offers a slightly different way to stay, united by a family atmosphere and the personal care we give our guests.

  7. 2027Planned

    Kamzík keeps growing

    We are preparing to expand the spa with a new pool and relaxation area and a salt cave, creating even more space to unwind and recharge.

Our Goral roots

We are Gorals

We wear traditional costume to folk performances, and you can hear the Goral dialect in our kitchen too. We teach our children to value hard work and respect for others.

Taste Goral cooking in our restaurant: bryndzové halušky with sheep's cheese, moskole potato flatbreads and kapustnica sauerkraut soup.
