Bachledka and the Treetop Walk near Ždiar
The lower station of the Bachledka Ski & Sun gondola is at Ždiar 702, Bachledova dolina, 6 km by road from our guesthouse – around a 10-minute drive. Make sure you head here rather than to Jezersko on the other side of the Magura ridge, which would add half an hour to your journey.
What to see and do at Bachledka
- Treetop Walk1,234 m long, up to 24 m above the ground, with a 32 m observation tower overlooking the Belianske Tatras and Spišská Magura. A 67 m slide runs down from the tower. The operator states that the route is step-free.
- Kingdom of the Foresta nature playground with more than 25 play and educational features. Check the operator’s website for the opening season and how long your ticket is valid for.
- Bachledka Ski & Sunin winter, a ski resort with pistes into three valleys, a gondola, a snowpark and a children’s area
- Parkingin high season, the car park often fills up in the morning. Arrive before 09:00 or allow time to wait.

Kingdom of the Forest
The Kingdom of the Forest has its own opening hours and may close in bad weather. Current information and prices are available at kralovstvolesa.sk.
Goral Folklore Festival
The Goral Folklore Festival takes place by the lower gondola station. Dates and the programme change each year; check with the organiser for current information.

A day at Bachledka from Kamzík
After breakfast, drive to the lower gondola station, around ten minutes from the resort. Allow two to three hours for the walkway and tower, depending on your pace. Afterwards, continue to the Kingdom of the Forest or stop for lunch, then return to relax in the spa.
For a longer walk, choose a marked route using an up-to-date map and take the weather into account. Local routes may change because of maintenance work, nature conservation measures or seasonal closures.
